01. About me

Hi, I'm Jorge and I'm a programming enthusiast. My first contact with development was when I was a school teacher and I decided to create a digital assessment for my students. After that, I decided to start developing professionally in PHP, ASPx, and C# for different companies, where I learned a lot and where I fell more and more in love with this profession.

With the experience gained I started working as a database administrator for one of the largest banks in Colombia, managing more than 2000 MS SQL Server and Oracle databases, there I improved a lot my T-SQL because I had to generate automatic maintenance tasks and statistics for productive OnPremise environments.

I'm currently based in the United States where I've done some work as a web developer and where I'm looking for an opportunity to reactivate my professional career.
